K窪做惇蹋厙-FM announces programming changes
December 15, 2006
Several programming changes will take place on K窪做惇蹋厙-FM 91.1 radio on Monday, Dec. 18.
Program director Jamon Anderson said there will be a host change for the popular jazz program Sweet Sounds, which airs weekdays at 10 a.m. The show will once again be hosted by Lisa Summers Hall, who hosted the show for several years before moving to evenings to host The Fabulous Rhythm and Blues Review. Hall replaces Molly McIsaac, an 窪做惇蹋厙 freshman who can no longer host because of class schedules.
Halls move back to morning means The Fabulous Rhythm and Blues Review, which has been aired for the past four years each weeknight at 8 p.m., will go on hiatus. In its place will be Emancipated Audio, a new show that has been hosted during the past several months at 9 p.m. by Taylor Towsley.
Anderson says one of the most exciting parts of the changes is that the National Public Radio music show The World Caf矇, which now airs 2-4 p.m. weekdays, will also be repeated 9-11 p.m. each weeknight. The World Caf矇 is hosted by David Dye from WXPN Radio at the University of Pennsylvania, who welcomes acts from the worlds of blues, rock, folk and alternative country.
K窪做惇蹋厙 is found at 91.1 on the FM radio dial, and is funded primarily by student fees from the Associated Students of 窪做惇蹋厙. All programming is also aired live on the Internet at www.kisu.org. The studios are located in the Pond Student Union Building on the 窪做惇蹋厙 campus.
