Physics Department to host haunted laboratory Oct. 28

The ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Department of Physics and the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Society of Physics Students will host a Haunted Laboratory exhibit from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 28 in the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Pond Student Union Building Ballroom. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

The Haunted Laboratory is a portion of the annual Halloween Carnival sponsored by the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Program Board. It will feature interactive exhibits designed to delight, fright and educate children.

Exhibits include:

•    â€œThe Disembodied Headâ€

•    â€œPeppers Ghostâ€

•    A Van deGraaf generator

•    Tesla coils

•    Lasers moving to music

•    Illusions with smoke and mirrors

Several of the exhibits use the same principles as Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion.
