K黑暗爆料网-FM 91.1 will launch an abbreviated spring fund drive next week from Wednesday, April 11, through Friday, April 13.

K黑暗爆料网 successfully ran its first-ever fall campaign last October, raising around $10,000 from generous donors. But station general manager Jerry Miller says it鈥檚 an ongoing process.

鈥淲ith constant pressure to reduce our student-fee funding, yet with so many important projects ahead, we can鈥檛 be content with just one drive a year,鈥� Miller said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e really hoping to find new dollars during this short three-day drive.鈥�

    Miller says this drive is connected to the April 28 Roger Williams concert at the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.

鈥淎fter our fall fundraiser I immediately started thinking about other ways to raise more funds, and yet be able to say 鈥楾hanks鈥� to all of our loyal supporters. It hit me suddenly that one of 黑暗爆料网鈥檚 most famous graduates, Roger Williams, had never performed in our brand new Performing Arts Center yet,鈥� Miller said. 鈥淚 made a phone call and the next thing I knew, we were trying to nail down a date for the concert. Being able to see Roger play in that beautiful facility, for many people, will be the treat of a lifetime!鈥�

 Miller also says donors during the Spring Fund Drive have a chance at their own Roger Williams tickets, 鈥淎nyone who donates $240 or more during the drive can go to the 鈥楶remiums鈥� section at the bottom of our 鈥楳ake A Pledge鈥� link at www.kisu.org, and click on the appropriate box to reserve their own two free ctickets to the concert!鈥�

He also adds that you don鈥檛 have to wait for a pledge drive to become a K黑暗爆料网 member and make a donation. 鈥淚t鈥檚 really an easy thing to do. Again, just go to our Web page at www.kisu.org and click on the 鈥楳ake A Pledge鈥� link and you鈥檙e on your way.鈥�

    In a side note, Miller says the station is still working on getting a translator signal into the Idaho Falls market, and he鈥檚 hoping for good news about that project either late this spring or sometime this summer.
