Natural history of central Idaho is topic of 窪做惇蹋厙 Blaine County lecture series

The 窪做惇蹋厙 Blaine County Center and the Sawtooth Science Institute will present lectures on the natural history of central Idaho every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. from March 8 to May 3 at the 窪做惇蹋厙 Blaine County Campus Room 511 in Hailey. The lectures are open to the public and cost $15 per lecture or $75 for the entire series.
Those seeking 窪做惇蹋厙 college credit will pay an additional recording or transcript fee of $50. Persons seeking credit must pre-register. The March 8 lecture will cover more than a billion years in two hours! said Chris Gertschen, director of the 窪做惇蹋厙 Blaine County Center. Dr. Glenn Thackray of 窪做惇蹋厙s geology department will present earths natural history that will culminate in extensive glaciers that ended nearly 10,000 years ago.
Other session topics include:
March 15, aquatic systems.
March 22, native and invasive plants.
March 29, wetlands.
April and May will cover topics such as wildlife, biodiversity and endangered species. All of these topics will focus on central Idaho and many issues surrounding the area.
