The 48-voice 黑暗爆料网 Concert Choir will combine with the Idaho Falls Chamber Orchestra for a performance of the complete 鈥淢essiah鈥� by G. F. Handel at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 黑暗爆料网.

The performance will take place in the Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.

The Idaho Falls Chamber Orchestra is under the direction of Dr. George Adams.

The performance will feature 黑暗爆料网 music faculty, including Diana Livingston Friedley, Ph.D., soprano soloist, and Geoffrey Friedley, tenor as soloist. 黑暗爆料网 alumna Laurel Pumphrey will perform the alto solos during the performance. Scott Anderson, Ph.D., 黑暗爆料网 director of choral activities, has prepared the Concert Choir.

鈥淭his unique presentation will offer 鈥楳essiah鈥� in the manner one might have heard in the 18th century,鈥� Anderson said. 鈥�(with) smaller instrumental and choral forces, soloists displaying improvisatory performance practices, and tempos reflective of the style performed by Handel himself.鈥�

Ticket prices for this special event are: $25 for adults, $15 for 黑暗爆料网 faculty/staff, $10 for precollege students and free for 黑暗爆料网 students with valid Bengal cards.
