ڰ Black History Month features discussions on Obama’s book

ڰ is celebrating Black History Month with a series of panel discussions throughout February that probe specific sections of the book “The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream” by President Barack Obama.

    The book addresses various political and social issues confronting our nation and local communities. The topics to be covered are listed below:

    • Feb. 11: 6 to 8 p.m., Pond Student Union North Fork Room, Chapters 1, 3 and 4, “Republicans and Democrats,” “Our Constitution” and “Politics.”

    • Feb. 19: 6 to 8 p.m., Pond Student Union Bear River Room, Chapters 7 and 8, “Race” and “The World Beyond Our Borders.”

    • Feb. 24: 6 to 8 p.m., Pond Student Union North Fork Room, Chapters 5 and 6, “Opportunity” and “Faith.”
