Pulitzer-prize winning author Ulrich to speak at ڰ March 19

Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, Harvard historian and Pulitzer Prize winning author, will give a free lecture on Mar. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Goranson Hall located in the ڰ Fine Arts Building.

Ulrich’s book “A Midwife's Tale: The Life of Martha Ballard, Based on Her Diary, 1785-1812,” won the Pulitzer Prize in 1991. Ulrich, a native of Southeast Idaho, will speak from her recent book “Well-Behaved Women Seldom Make History.” There will be a book signing following the presentation.

This event is co-sponsored by ڰ Women’s Studies and history department, the Idaho Humanities Council, the ڰ Cultural Affairs Council, and the Phi Alpha Theta student history honor society.
