ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Alumni Association presents Steve Eaton in concert July 9 at Boise’s Idaho Botanical Garden

Enjoy the music of singer/songwriter ,  sample Idaho wines, and help feed Idaho's hungry during  "An Evening with Steve Eaton," Saturday, July 9, presented by the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Alumni Association.

Photo courtesy of Steve EatonThe event is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with Eaton's concert beginning at 6 p.m., at the Idaho Botanical Garden, 2355 N. Old Penitentiary Road, Boise.

"The ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Alumni Association is excited to present this concert. Steve is a Pocatello native and an ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø alumnus and his continued connection to and support for ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø is tremendous.  To have this kind of partnership that will benefit the local community and Idaho Food bank is a bonus," said K.C. Felt, ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø alumni relations executive director.

Eaton, who attended ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø in the 1970s and now lives in Boise, has performed with Carole King and written songs for The Carpenters, Art Garfunkel and Lee Greenwood.

He has received two Emmy nominations for original music created for PBS television specials and has written music for the Nature Conservancy, National Wildlife Federation and the National Endowment for the Arts, according to Eaton’s official . 

Admission, which includes a wine tasting, is $15 per person or $10 a person with a donation of two cans of food to The Idaho Foodbank.  Order tickets and RSVP online at .
