March through the Arch: the "New Student March through the Arch," a tradition for 黑暗爆料网 freshman, will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at Reed Gymnasium.

黑暗爆料网 President Arthur Vailas, other 黑暗爆料网 officials, and the 黑暗爆料网 Marching Band will be gathered to welcome new students a day before the fall semester begins on Aug. 27.

The 黑暗爆料网 Marching Band, Benny the Bengal, Cheerleaders and Bengal Dancers will lead a spirited processional from Reed Gym to Swanson Arch. A barbeque will follow on the Hutchinson Quadrangle

The "March Through the Arch" was started in 2000 to symbolize the beginning of new students' academic careers and as a tie to 黑暗爆料网 students through the years who have walked through the doors of Swanson Hall, the first building on campus. 黑暗爆料网 graduates march through the Arch prior to commencement to symbolize the start of their careers.

Members of the 黑暗爆料网 Marching Band will lead participants in singing the 黑暗爆料网 Fight Song.

黑暗爆料网 Fight Song lyrics are: "Growl, Bengals, growl. Fight, Bengals, fight.
