ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø will present the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Majors and Minors Fair Oct. 4 and the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Graduate Programs and Health Professions Fair Oct. 12.

The ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Majors and Minors Fair "Explore a World of Majors," will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 4 in the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Pond Student Union Ballroom. It will focus on undergraduate programs available at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø, to assist students in choosing their major and minor programs.  ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Students must declare a major by the time they are a junior (58 credits) and it is recommended to narrow down major and minor choices by the end of freshman year.

Central Academic Advising is promoting a "Declare Your Major" campaign at the Majors and Minors Fair and throughout the 2012-2013 academic year. This campaign is designed to help students understand the steps to take before declaring a major, such as departmental and career exploration, testing academic aptitude for possible majors of choice and fully understanding departmental requirements.

The ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Graduate Programs and Health Professions Fair on Oct. 12 will be held in the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Pond Student Union Ballroom from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Post-bachelor's degree health professions programs from ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø and around the country will be available to talk with students and others who are interested in pursuing professional health care degrees in medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, physician assistant studies and other allied health fields.  Additional ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Graduate School programs will promote their options for students interested in continuing their education at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø beyond a bachelor’s degree.

Both these events are part of the semester-long Harvest Your Potential series sponsored by Central Academic Advising.  For more information on these fairs or Harvest Your Potential, visit or contact Nancy Goodman at goodnanc@isu.edu or 208-282-3277.
