ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø counseling Professors Feit and Hill named two of Top 99 professors nationally by Mastersincounseling.org

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø counseling Professors Stephen Feit and Nicole Hill were named as two of the 2013 top 99 professors in counseling, psychology or therapy by Masters In Counseling.org.

Stephen FeitFeit was ranked 72nd and Hill was 77th. Masters In Counseling.org () is an informational tool for students who may want to enroll in an online degree program to obtain a Master of Counseling degree.

"Drs. Stephen Feit and Nicole Hill have long been regarded as distinguished leaders in the field of counselor education and in recent years, both Steve and Nicole have served as president of the Association for Counseling Education and Supervision," said Tracy Farnsworth, interim associate dean and director of the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Kasiska College of Health Professions.

"This recognition of being among 'the best professors working in counseling today' is well deserved and indeed reflective of the national stature of the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Department of Counseling."

Nicole HillFeit, now a professor emeritus, retired from ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø this spring but will continue with the department as an adjunct instructor. He taught at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø for 38 years. In 2011 he was honored with a Life Time Achievement Award from the Association for Counselor Education and Supervisions.

Since 2009, Hill has served as interim chair in the department, interim dean of the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Graduate School, and is currently chair of the department, a post she will step down from on June 20. Hill was named the 2011 George E. Hill Distinguished Alumni award winner at Ohio University.
