‘IP, Tech Transfer in University’ is topic of Feb. 22 ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø faculty development seminar

­"Intellectual Property, Tech Transfer in University" is the topic of the noon–1:30 p.m. Feb. 22 ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Faculty Development Seminar by Darlene Gerry, director of the intellectual property management and university partnerships in the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Office of Research.

The seminar will be held in Room B-06 of the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Eli Oboler Library and will be broadcast to Room 160 at the Tingey Administration Building at the Center for Higher Education at University Place in Idaho Falls, Room 508 at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø-Meridian and Room C-89 at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø-Twin Falls at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls.

According to organizers, university faculty, staff, and students need to know about issues related to technology transfer, intellectual property rights, project management and copyright laws. Gerry has experience both in industry as well as university and will share her thoughts about these important items that the university community needs to be aware of.
