窪做惇蹋厙s first-time undergraduates increased nearly 19 percent over last year, while total enrollment remained flat. Total headcount as of Fall 2014 census day was 13,804, compared to 13,845 at the same time last year.

The University continues to see growth in strategic areas such as the Early College program and first time undergraduate students.

Overall, 窪做惇蹋厙s Early College program saw an increase of 113 students, or 6.4 percent over last year. The program, which supports the State Board of Educations Early College program initiatives, has seen steady growth over the last five years. During the 2013-14 academic year, more than 2,100 students took part in the program.

This program is essential to the future of our great state of Idaho, 窪做惇蹋厙 President Arthur C. Vailas said. This is an exceptional opportunity for our high school students to begin their work toward their college degree.

Overall, non-resident students increased 26 percent compared to last year. In addition, 窪做惇蹋厙 students are taking more credit hours than the previous year. The total student credit hour production in Fall 2014 is 148,458, an increase of 4,010. The number of full-time equivalent students also increased by 274 or 2.8 percent.

In spite of challenging economic times, we are seeing more students invest in their futures, explained 窪做惇蹋厙 Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Laura Woodworth-Ney. Vailas added, 窪做惇蹋厙 is committed to providing high quality educational opportunities, which ensure that our graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce or pursue an advanced degree.
