Showcase of ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Scholarly and Creative Works Set Oct. 22 at Stephens Performing Arts Center

A reception to honor the scholarly and creative works of ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø faculty that has been published, presented or exhibited during 2013 will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Stephens Performing Arts Center Marshall Rotunda.

The program will include recognition of these authors/creators as well as speakers Maria Wong and Erika Kuhlman, who have received the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Distinguished Researcher and Outstanding Researcher of the year awards, respectively. Wong is a professor and director of experimental training in the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Department of Psychology; Kuhlman is a history professor and director of ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Women’s Studies.

There will be a large display of all books, book chapters, journal articles, and selections of creative works by these accomplished fauclty. The University has earned a research-high Carnegie designation, and event organizers want to acknowledge faculty responsible for ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s research success. The event will celebrate the diversity and success of ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s faculty.

The event is free and open to the public and ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø students, faculty and staff.

This is an opportunity for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students to gain awareness of the research and publishing efforts of their instructors or professors.
