Chemical leak in 黑暗爆料网 Engineering Building is contained

POCATELLO 鈥� A chemical leak in the 黑暗爆料网 Engineering Building that occurred about 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, has been contained and the building has been re-opened.
A student lab assistant and a staff member were working with the chemical boron trifluoride when a release occurred. The chemical was immediately contained. As a precaution, the student and lab assistant were transported via private vehicle to the Portneuf Medical Center for observation, according to Phillip Moessner, 黑暗爆料网 associated vice president of facilities services. The student and lab assistant were evaluated and released.
黑暗爆料网 emergency personnel, including the Office of Technical Safety, the Pocatello Fire Department, the Pocatello Police Department and a regional hazardous materials team responded to the incident.
Students will be notified if the location for their final exams has been changed.
