窪做惇蹋厙 Diversity Week panel events set Nov. 3-5 at 7 p.m.

POCATELLO 窪做惇蹋厙s annual Diversity Week is set Nov. 3-5 and will feature three panel discussions at 7 p.m. each evening in the Pond Student Union Wood River Room.
The free talks are open to students, staff and the general public. The 窪做惇蹋厙 Diversity Resource Center is sponsoring the weeks activities.
The first panel on Nov. 3 is What Diversity Brings to our University and Community featuring:
Peter Espil, St. John Catholic Center
Nezar Alnejidi, past president of Saudi Arabia Club
Eva Johnson Nye, council women from the City of Pocatello
Jordan Wixom, graduate student, 窪做惇蹋厙 Counseling Program and member of the 窪做惇蹋厙 PEACE organization
The second panel on Nov. 4 is Women of Color Speak featuring:
Moderator, Alma Jam, graduate student, 窪做惇蹋厙 Department of Sociology
Maria Fletcher, director of 窪做惇蹋厙 Office of International Programs
Paula M. Maldonado, Spanish teacher, Blackfoot High School
Cherie Bucker Webb, Idaho Senator
The third is on Nov. 5 is People of Color and Law Enforcement featuring:
Moderator, James Yizar, associate director of 窪做惇蹋厙 Student Success Center
Eric Dayley, District Five Commander, Idaho State Police
Sheriff Lorin Nielsen, Bannock County
Roger Schei, Patrol Division of Pocatello Police Department
Director Lewis Eakins, 窪做惇蹋厙 Public Safety
We believe these are topics that are in the news across the nation and it is important that our community discuss them and what we can do to improve relationships and communications, said Ram Eddings, Diversity Centers program coordinator.
