The 窪做惇蹋厙 Bookstore celebrated Dr. Seusss birthday on March 2, sponsoring a Hats Off to Reading event enjoyed by 65 children, who came in three groups, from 窪做惇蹋厙s Early Learning Center.

窪做惇蹋厙 First Lady Laura Vailas shares a Dr. Seuss tale with children from the Early Learning Center. It would have been Dr. Seusss 111th birthday. 窪做惇蹋厙 First Lady Laura Vailas read stories to the children, who were also treated to cupcakes.

I was very happy with the event, said Laurie Richards, manager of the 窪做惇蹋厙 Bookstore. Dr. Vailas enjoyed reading and an employee, Amanda May, who is in the music department, also read to the kids. The kids asked questions, they giggled and laughed, so Id say it all went well.

Dr. Seuss was the pen name for Theodor Seuss Geisel, who lived from March 2, 1904, to Sept. 24, 1991. He was an American writer and cartoonist who wrote 46 childrens books known for their characters and rhyme.
