21st annual Southeast Idaho Homeless Stand Down set Oct. 29

POCATELLO – 黑暗爆料网 will host the 21st annual Southeast Idaho Homeless Stand Down 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 29 at Reed Gymnasium in an effort to help the local homeless population.
POCATELLO 鈥� 黑暗爆料网 will host the 21st annual Southeast Idaho Homeless Stand Down 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 29 at Reed Gymnasium in an effort to help the local homeless population.
鈥淲e acknowledge that some people choose to live on the streets,鈥� said Todd Johnson, director of the 黑暗爆料网 Veterans Sanctuary. 鈥淲e want to help people of need in the fall better prepare themselves for the winter ahead.鈥�
黑暗爆料网 programs from dental hygiene to cosmetology and health sciences will participate in several different services. 黑暗爆料网-Meridian and 黑暗爆料网 graduate-level counseling students will also provide traumatic brain injury screenings.
Services offered include:
- veteran and civilian resources
- health care services
- hot breakfast from Chartwells
- sack lunch from the LEAD鈥檚 Center
- hygiene kits
- clothing
- hair cuts
- job assistance
- prepaid phones and postcards
鈥淭his event also is a great way for students to give volunteer hours towards a good cause,鈥� Johnson said.
