窪做惇蹋厙 to partner with Kind Community for homecoming and Kindweek 2016 kick-off; Theme is “Let’s Celebrate Kindness: Show Your Strength in Stripes”
June 21, 2016
POCATELLO – 窪做惇蹋厙 recently announced plans to co-host Kind Community’s Kick-Off Celebration for Kind Week 2016 in conjunction with their annual homecoming festivities.
Dubbed the ultimate block party, the 2016 Kick-Off Celebration, Lets Celebrate Kindness: Show Your Strength in Stripes, will be held on 窪做惇蹋厙s campus on Monday, September 19.
We are thrilled to partner with 窪做惇蹋厙 to host our second annual free, family-friendly celebration, said Courtney Fisher, Kind Community Co-Founder and President. This is a wonderful opportunity to set a positive tone not just for 窪做惇蹋厙s Homecoming, but for the entire school year.
The festival is an opportunity for all members of our community to come out and enjoy each others company with individuals they might not have the opportunity to mingle with in their everyday lives. We invite all groups and individuals to unite for the evening, chat, share smiles and kindness, and make new connections across the boundaries of gender, race, religion, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other labels that tend to separate us. Lets celebrate our stripes! said Fisher.
This year, Homecoming and Kind Week fall the week of September 1925, 2016. An exciting line-up of live entertainment and activities will be offered to attract new and continuing 窪做惇蹋厙 students, as well as younger students attending our communitys public, private and charter schools from K12, and their families. The Kick-Off Celebration also features An Exhibition in Kind, for local service organizations, businesses and 窪做惇蹋厙 clubs, programs and colleges to strut their strength in stripes and showcase how they model kindness.
We look forward to partnering with others in the community to organize an event focused on unity and coming together. Homecoming is the perfect time to celebrate what it means to not only be a Bengal, but to also celebrate our diverse community. We invite everyone to our campus to kick off Homecoming and Kind week, said Arthur Vailas, 窪做惇蹋厙 President.
Its exciting to see 窪做惇蹋厙 and Kind Community coming together to celebrate Homecoming and Kind Week. This partnership emphasizes how united our community really is, said Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad.
More than 4,000 community members attended Kind Communitys launch at the Portneuf Wellness Complex last September. With participation from the 窪做惇蹋厙 community, organizers predict that this years attendance could easily double.
