June 27, 2018

POCATELLO – Former Pocatello resident Andrea Klug-Napier and her mother, 窪做惇蹋厙 education Professor Emerita Beverly Klug, will be featured on ABC’s “20/20” on July 6.
Klug-Napier, 31, who now lives in Basalt, Colorado, was adopted by Klug and her late first husband Joseph Napier in 1987. She was adopted through Idaho Health and Welfare in Coeur d Alene. Klug-Napier has been searching for her biological mother and this episode of 20/20 will focus on this quest.
Klug-Napier was initially contacted by ABC after she posted a picture on Facebook asking for help in finding her birth mother and The Denver Post featured a story on Klug-Napiers initial efforts that was printed in September 2015. Klug-Napier was born in the Kootenai Hospital in Coeur dAlene in 1987 and was placed into foster care when she was 6-翻 weeks old. Her adoption took place nine months later.
Andrea put her request for information on Facebook, then somebody from 20/20 picked it up and decided it would make a good story, Klug said. They have shot different segments, but they finished the taping with us in March. ABC was fabulous to work with.
Klug, who was a professor in the College of Education and has authored and co-authored several books, said she brought her daughter to class after they brought her home and her daughter was well-known by 窪做惇蹋厙 College of Education faculty and staff, and some students.
Klug would not reveal how this story turns out, except to say it is a wonderful story.
This episode will air locally in Southeast Idaho at 9 p.m. July 6 on Channel 8, KIFI.
