History Students Present Research at Phi Alpha Theta Conference

Four student members of the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Phi Alpha Theta History Club presented their original historical research at the Phi Alpha Theta 2022 Northwest Regional Conference on April 22 and 23.
Tyler Holman, Maya Peters-Greño, Sam Bell, and Jon Madson presented to representatives from universities across Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington at the two-day conference in Bellingham.
The four papers delivered by ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø History students at the 2022 Northwest Regional conference were:
- Sam Bell, graduate student: "Servants of Empire: Nautch 'Girls' in the Long Nineteenth Century"
- Tyler Holman, graduate student: "Striking a Match: Annie Besant and the Irish Matchgirl Strike of 1888"
- Jon Madson, graduate student: "The Contestation of Contest: The Silenced Voices of Ireland after the Great War"
- Maya Peters-Greño, undergraduate student: "Colonized Garments as Colonizer Trends: The Case of Asian Conical Hats in Western Fashions, 1840-1960"
