“I have maintained a research program and trained students in research at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø since 2007. I understand what it is like to conduct research here, and I want to help my colleagues and university do all we can to support and enable research and creative activities” said Brumley.

Brumley has received research grants from the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and other agencies. She is part of the Idaho INBRE network of biomedical researchers, and served for five years as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Developmental Psychobiology. Brumley’s research and teaching have been recognized through receiving the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Distinguished Teacher Award in 2016, and the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Distinguished Researcher Award in 2018.

“The faculty at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø do amazing work, and research and creative activity is a huge part of that. It is important that research thrives at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø, as it supports our faculty in their professional development and it provides career-advancing opportunities for our students.
