Idaho Museum of Natural History offers family fun events


POCATELLO—The Idaho Museum of Natural History is providing some educational activities to go along with its new “Titanoboa: Monster Snake” exhibit.

  • April 13 Charles Peterson, a herpetologist at 窪做惇蹋厙, will give a talk at 7 p.m. on Idaho's Miniature Boa Constrictor: The Rubber Boa and its relation to Titanoboa. He will have a Rubber Boa available for guests to play with and meet.
  • April 16 Family Fun Day is April 16, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. This event will feature snake-related crafts such as a cold-blooded activity and wood snake painting.
  • May 7 The museum will have a Mothers Day craft available for children 11 a.m. 2 p.m. There is a $5 activity fee. Kids will have the opportunity to make a mason bee house. In addition, the museum is offering a 50-percent discount gallery admission to a mother accompanied by a paying child.
