Standards of Mass
Brief Description
This demonstration shows students the devices we use to measure mass.
Materials
Various weights, various scales, and miscellaneous measurement devices.
Setup
Place weights and scales on a table so they can be viewed by the classroom and accessible to the professor.
Performing the Demo
Measure weights on scale and let students feel the different masses. Explain the different measurement systems, and show the different measurements if available.
Safety and Other Notes
Do not hold weights above head or others students.
