POCATELLO - The overuse of opioids is an area of significant concern for a multitude of organizations and agencies across the state of Idaho, the United States, and even the world. Those in the healthcare professions at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø (ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø) are working to be a part of the solution by conducting research, making changes to their curriculum, and encouraging partnerships with other groups who are working toward the same goal: combating the ever growing opioid epidemic.

POCATELLO – This May, ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø anthropology students will have the opportunity to participate in the 2018 ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Archaeology Field School. Students will spend four weeks in Kimberly, Idaho, at the Olsen Mammoth Site looking for the remains of a Columbian Mammoth.

POCATELLO – Five ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø faculty members have received 2018 Outstanding Researcher Awards and will be honored at a reception on April 10. One Outstanding Researcher will receive the 2018 ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Distinguished Researcher Award. The winner will be announced at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø commencement on May 5.
