New Faculty Orientation

New Faculty Orientation is a structured introduction, typically taking place during contract week (the week before courses begin) designed to help newly hired faculty transition smoothly into their roles here at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø. It provides new faculty with:

  • Essential institutional information such as the University's mission, values, strategic priorities, policies, HR processes, and key campus resources.

  • Teaching and learning support including overviews of instructional technologies, student support services, and evidence-based teaching practices.

  • Connections with colleagues and opportunities to meet campus leaders, fellow new faculty, and support staff, helping build early community and networks.

  • Guidance on expectations and information on service responsibilities, research support, and campus procedures.
