Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)
ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø faculty, staff, and students operate unmanned aircraft systems (also known as drones) for a variety of reasons including teaching, research, training, outreach, marketing, and other institutional purposes.
All UAS operations performed in connection with ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø activities must be conducted in a manner that minimizes risk and complies with applicable regulations.

- Comply with federal, state, and local UAS regulations.
- Operate the UAS in accordance with ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Policy (ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍøPP 9030 - Unmanned Aircraft).
- Register the UAS with ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Risk Management.
- Obtain flight authorization from ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Public Safety two weeks in advance of the flight.
