ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø’s Kasiska Division of Health Sciences dedicates day of research to tackling Idaho’s opioid crisis

POCATELLO - The overuse of opioids is an area of significant concern for a multitude of organizations and agencies across the state of Idaho, the United States, and even the world. Those in the healthcare professions at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø (ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø) are working to be a part of the solution by conducting research, making changes to their curriculum, and encouraging partnerships with other groups who are working toward the same goal: combating the ever growing opioid epidemic.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø graduate Lynette Dixey to celebrate with degree 32 years after started

 POCATELLO – In 1984, Lynette Dixey graduated from Blackfoot High School and packed up her things and moved to Glendive, Montana, to play basketball at Dawson Community College. But Dixey did not graduate with a degree from Dawson, she returned home to give birth to her daughter. This May, 33 years after starting at Dawson Community College, Dixey will walk across the stage at graduation with a bachelor’s degree in political science from ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø.

Idaho Museum of Natural History fundraising for science camps during Idaho Gives

POCATELLO – The Idaho Museum of Natural History on ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Pocatello campus has a full line-up of “Building Young Scientists” camps and activities this summer for K-12-grade students and will host an Idaho Gives 24-hour fundraising event on May 3 to help fund these programs.

2018 Benny Award winners announced

Idaho State will award degrees and recognize ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø-Meridian Student Excellence Honorees at May 7 commencement ceremony in Treasure Valley

BOISE—ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø will award a record number of degrees in the Treasure Valley at commencement May 7—with 315 students eligible for degrees, including 73 Renaissance High School students who will receive associate degrees in general studies through a partnership with ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø and the West Ada School District. The ceremony begins at 6 p.m. at the Boise Centre, 850 W. Front St.
